We like to explore interesting topics with people who know their stuff about it. During Multitalks, we give the floor to people from our network to exchange thoughts with us on a specific subject. On May 17th, the theme of our fifth edition of Multitalks will be diversity.

A change in our collective consciousness has been a long time coming, but how are we doing now the diversity trend has settled into our mainstream media? Have we blossomed and progressed, or is it all smoke and mirrors?

Nathalie Wouters

Features Director at Vogue NL

Magazines got heavily reprimanded last year for their lack of diversity, both on the covers and in the editorial teams. Nathalie Wouters, Features Director at Vogue, will take us behind the scenes.

Heleen Cousijn

Advisor at Diversion

Besides ethnic diversity, sexual diversity proves to be less than self-evident in our visual culture, as became apparent after Suitsupply campaign posters showing two men kissing were vandalised all over the country. At Diversion - agency for social innovation - Heleen Cousijn took action and initiated de #LoveisLove campaign.

Nick Topp

Creative director at Multitude

Our creative director will dissect some of the most well-known and some lesser-known campaigns that took the diversity approach. Which angle are they taking and are they in fact as ‘diverse’ as they initially seem to be?
